On 16 September, 35 participants visited IIRR in Silang, Cavite, obtaining insight on approaches to engaging local communities in project development and management. A visit to IRRI in Los Baños, Laguna highlighted the role of science and technology in poverty reduction.
Program participants visited on 19 September the Pasig River Rehabilitation Project in the Philippines. The group learned about the rehabilitation project and social safeguards and resettlement. RSDD's Michael Lindfield discussed the urban sector in the Philippines before the field trip..
The 3-week seminar attended by 35 selected DMC officials ended on 22 September in HQ. VP Pholsena (pictured, seated center) gave the closing address

On the last day of the program, participants presented their output from the workshop on Results Matter to a panel that included CWRD DG Juan Miranda, EARD DG H. Satish Rao, SARD DG Kunio Senga, SERD Advisor Stephen Curry, and PARD's Stephen Polland. The presentations incorporated significant learning from the program.
