Mainstreaming Environment for Poverty Reduction (PEP Phase II) Projects

Mainstreaming Environment for Poverty Reduction (MEPR) is the second phase of the Poverty and Environment Program (PEP). This second regional technical assistance program aims to expand the scope of PEP to mainstream environment objectives in ADB business practices and DMC development strategies, programs and projects.

The second phase of PEP continues to support pilot interventions and analytical studies that focus on protection, conservation, and sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services to maintain the livelihoods of the poor; reduction of air and water pollution and waste that directly impacts the health and productivity of the poor; and reduction of vulnerability to natural hazards and disaster prevention.
