Agreements for a Loan

A Loan Agreement for a Project is an agreement entered into by ADB with a member of ADB, its related institution or a regional institution, which outlines loan terms and conditions, and implementation arrangements for an investment project.

A Loan Agreement for a Program is an agreement entered into by ADB with a member of ADB which outlines loan terms and conditions and relevant program implementation arrangements for a reform program.

A TA Loan Agreement is an agreement entered into by ADB with a member of ADB, its related institution or a regional institution, which outlines the loan terms and conditions, and the implementation arrangements for the technical assistance project.

Financing for loans can be from ADB’s ordinary capital and Special Funds resources.

Agreements Related to Loans

A Project Agreement is an agreement entered into by ADB with a project executing agency which is not directly part of the concerned member Government and which outlines project implementation arrangements.

A Program Agreement is an agreement entered into by ADB with a program executing agency which is not directly part of the concerned member Government and which outlines program implementation arrangements.

A Guarantee Agreement records the terms and conditions of a guarantee given to ADB by a member of ADB in connection with a loan made by ADB to a third party.

Agreements for a Grant and Related Agreements

A Grant Agreement is an agreement entered into by ADB with a member of ADB, its related institution or a regional institution, which outlines project implementation arrangements to be funded by a grant.

A Financing Agreement is an agreement entered into by ADB with a member of ADB which outlines project implementation arrangements for an investment project which combines grant and loan funding.
